We’re having a foot race up Cerro Gordo’s historic Yellow Grade Road

May 27, 2023 — 11am sharp

Please park at 285 Laws Ave, Keeler, CA 93530

This is a rugged and challenging trail race starting at the base of the Cerro Gordo road and gaining of almost a mile of elevation in just 8 miles to conclude at the deck of our museum, which is close to 8,200 feet in elevation.

The winner of the Cerro Gordo Silver Run will be honored with their name forever memorialized in a solid plaque, made from silver pulled from the very mines that the ghost town is known for.

We are thrilled to announce the first-ever Cerro Gordo Silver Run

We’ll have a pop-up recovery lounge at the top of the mountain to help participants recuperate after the strenuous race. Shade and hammocks will be available for runners to rest and relax while taking in the stunning views of the mountain and historic town. There will also be a few ice plunges on-site to cool off and soothe sore muscles.

Once you’ve made it to the top it’s time to rest and recover
